ABOUT US!
As imbalances in our society seem to have heightened and our daily routines have become more demanding due to an intense effort to survive, the thought that others are experiencing the same challenges we do, but with varying circumstances, is often far from us. When our thoughts are preoccupied with our own affairs, we are often caught off guard and quick to form our own conclusions about others based on specific actions that may have been presented at a particular moment, whether good, bad, or indifferent. But are the conclusions we draw about others really about what has been presented at a given moment or is there merely a connection with dis-easement, past or present experiences, or varying perspectives.
The Character Not Color brand was envisioned and birthed as a visual reminder to challenge ourselves with examination and re-examination before drawing conclusions about others. We should allow the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with their true value as opposed to what appears to be their face value. This can be a difficult challenge for all of us, but if we stand bold enough to take a first step in pursuing this challenge, we believe not only will the imbalances in our society become more balanced, but it will confirm the truth, that we are all significant.
Once you understand the representation of the Character Not Color brand, the signature theme colors should make sense; it’s Black and White! Either we have some areas we need to examine or re-examine within ourselves or we don’t. And by the way, in physics, black and white are not considered colors.
THE MEANING
The outward facing “C” represents the character, distinct quality, individuality, uniqueness, and nature of an individual. It should not be bruised or misinterpreted simply by the mistakes that the individual has made in his or her past, but should be merely dissected to extract and nurture positive and constructive attributes that will thrust the individual into private and public success.
The “N”, which represents the “NOT”, the reminder that we should “NOT” judge or allow pre-conceived notions about an individual enter our psyching without acquainting ourselves to develop our own perspective based on the factual character or quality of that individual. However, the “N” is set in the middle of the emblem because we are freely given a choice as to whether or not we will judge or deem that individual as insignificant based on his or her outer appearance. With warning, this can be detrimental! The very individual we may judge or deem as insignificant could very well be the same individual who is assigned to connect us to the next level of our destiny.
The inward facing “C” represents the color, the outer make-up, appearance, or what we perceive about an individual. It is turned inward because the face value of an individual does not always represent his or her true being.
If you take a close look at the Character Not Color emblem, you’ll find it depicts a heart shape. This signifies unconditional LOVE with no judgment…the root and foundation of UNITY!

Consider the Struggle
We all have struggles, no matter how minor or major. And what may be a struggle for me, may not be a struggle for you. Sometimes this perspective can be far from us when we’re dealing with others. For example, I call Stacy, someone I’ve only been knowing for a...
